The food and beverage (F&B) sector is defined by its rapid pace, precise production schedules, and the critical need for strict quality control and timely logistics. At dev-UP, we recognize that custom technology is essential for managing this complexity. We were approached by a forward-thinking company in the F&B sector that required a specialized digital platform to streamline operations from order placement to final delivery while also centralizing administrative tasks like time tracking and billing.

Objective

The core objective was to replace existing manual and disparate systems with a single, end-to-end digital platform. This solution needed to manage complex order scheduling, integrate seamlessly with production planning, and facilitate transparent logistics and delivery management. Crucially, it also needed to incorporate robust administrative features, including time registration for agents and the automated generation of accurate bills and necessary administrative documents. The overall goal was to reduce overhead and enhance profitability.

Challenge

The primary challenge was creating a system that could handle the dynamic nature of perishable goods and tight daily production windows, while simultaneously integrating specialized administrative functions. The platform had to accurately translate customer orders into production batches, optimize delivery routes, and provide real-time updates. Furthermore, it required a secure, efficient module for field agents to register their working time, and a system to automatically transform those orders and services into error-free, generated bills and invoices.

Solution

dev-UP engineered a bespoke Food & Beverage Management Platform. The solution features an integrated order-to-production workflow, where customer inputs automatically populate daily production schedules. Key operational features include real-time capacity tracking and automated route optimization.

For administrative efficiency, we implemented:

Agent Time Registration: A module allowing field agents to easily log their work hours directly into the system.

Automated Billing: The platform automatically aggregates order data and services provided to generate accurate bills and all necessary administrative staff/documentation.
