The problem

ACDA RPA's surveyors conduct audits across hundreds of sites worldwide, and planning a single one meant manually cross-referencing surveyor qualifications, availability, travel distance, conflicts of interest and customer preferences.

All of it happened in spreadsheets, and it had to be redone for every request.

It was slow, and it was unforgiving: small oversights led to suboptimal assignments or scheduling errors that surfaced later, when they were harder and more costly to fix.

What we built

dev-UP built a full-stack planning platform that generates the best available surveyor teams for any audit request.

Planners submit a request through a simple web interface: site, survey type, dates and required team composition.

Behind it, an optimisation engine filters out any team that fails a hard requirement such as qualifications, availability or conflict-of-interest rules, then ranks the remaining valid options against softer preferences like travel distance, customer history and team balance.

Results come back in real time, so planners can adjust exclusions or preferences and regenerate instantly before approving a final team. Surveyor records, site information and customer preferences stay continuously in sync from the client's existing data sources, so the platform always reflects current reality without manual data entry.
